Kong Fok Church held a Mid-Autumn Carnival in the Southern District on the Mid-Autumn Festival to spread the love and gospel of Christ, in which members from HKU Stroke helped to offer free health check services to the Ap Lei Chau neighbourhood, including blood pressure measurement and atrial fibrillation screening and provided simple health care consultation. We are aware that the overall health status of the local community is quite worrying, with many young, middle-aged individuals at risk of obesity and/or overweight, which obesity is a risk factor for stroke and other chronic diseases. Thus, we will continue to support the local community to raise public awareness of stroke prevention.
