We are honoured to be invited by Golden Age Foundation to host a booth in this year’s “Golden Age Expo & Summit” again! The unprecedented development of telemedicine optimises the efficacy of medical treatment and rehabilitation and benefits the community in many ways, including elderly care services and home-based rehabilitation. HKU Stroke is eager to explore innovative technology and research opportunities with collaborators from all disciplines to work hand-in-hand in preventing and managing stroke to improve the well-being of stroke patients and families.
Smart Rehab App🧡 - An innovative rehabilitation mobile app will be demonstrated in our booth, developed by the HKU Sports AI Laboratory, HKU Stroke and the Hong Kong Society of Rehabilitation, with the aim to enable home-based rehabilitation for stroke patients where therapists can prescribe exercises tailored to the needs of the patient upon assessment for facilitate recovery.
We will also provide health screening and counselling services, including blood pressure measurement and atrial fibrillation screening to raise awareness of the importance of healthy lifestyle and eating habits as effective ways to prevent stroke. Moreover, we will introduce the features of the WeRISE App💚for stroke management of stroke patients and caregivers.
