Aphasia is a language disorder that affects your ability to communicate and understand. It is most often caused by a stroke in the brain that controls speech and language. In this episode from TVB, Dr. Gary Kui kai Lau, Clinical Associate Professor from HKU Neurology, will talk about the association between aphasia and stroke. Speech therapist will also introduce the types of aphasia and explain how speech and language therapy can improve patients’ functional communication.
